Club History

Rix Mallonee was founder and president 1957, 1958, and 1959 of Model A Restorers Club Southwest Region. The name was changed to Model A Restorers Club of Arizona (MARCA) in 1961. A few members struggled through the first years to expand it to an attractive and worthwhile organization for Model A lovers, so they might meet together, exchange tips on restoration so to benefit from each others experience and thoroughly enjoy the Model A Ford. The club was chartered by the Model A Ford Club of America in 1989.

The Model A Restorers Club of Arizona club is proud of their cars and likes to give back to the community a sense of the past by displaying and driving their cars. Many are driven on extensive tours in, Arizona, the US and overseas.

The club now serves membership families across the entire state and has members in the Metro Phoenix area, Tucson area, and in Northern Arizona. Most of the members of this club own one or more Model A’s. Some of their cars are restored to “original” condition and are shown in Local, Regional, and National Model A Events. Others are touring cars and are driven regularly and participate in many club tours and community events. We have monthly meetings in Mesa, AZ and have events all across the valley.

If you own or want to own a Ford Model A in Arizona we would love to meet you and help you get the most out of your car and this hobby.
